Zine for Buxton Contemporary Exhibition

For this brief I aimed to visualise Peter Tyndall’s Slave Guitars series, through the pages of a hand-made zine that compliment and re-contextualise his experimental sounds of the 1980s. Influenced by the emerging music scene in New York during the late 20th century, Slave Guitars is experimental “in the purest sense,” and runs parallel with the sounds of the post-punk movement and New York avant-garde artists. This zine will be featured in the Buxton Contemporary Gallery from 9 December 2022 - 16 April 2023.
